Rules & Regulations

Please read carefully and abide by all hostel rules for a safe and harmonious community

All residents are required to follow these rules. Violation of any rule may lead to disciplinary action including termination of hostel accommodation. The Hostel Management reserves the right to amend these rules at any time.

General Rules

  1. 1 The rooms will be open for inspection by the Hostel staff at any time.
  2. 2 No outsiders are allowed to enter the hostel rooms. They can meet their wards in the reception with permission.
  3. 3 Smoking, chewing tobacco, consuming alcoholic drinks or any other intoxicating drugs etc. are strictly prohibited.
  4. 4 No resident will be allowed to enter the hostel after 09:00 PM (new students) and 10:00 PM (old students).
  5. 5 Photographs, pictures etc. shall not be pasted or displayed on the walls and doors of the room.
  6. 6 Misuse of electricity, water and other facilities will be liable for penalty. Use of iron or any extra appliance other than provided in the room is not permissible. Unauthorized electric appliances will be confiscated.
  7. 7 Residents shall take care to keep silence in the hostel premises.
  8. 15 Gate pass is required for student exit from the hostel.
  9. 16 The Hostel Management is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of any personal property.
  10. 17 Students are not allowed to use any kind of firecrackers in the hostel campus.
  11. 18 If hostel property is damaged by a student, the amount will be deducted from the security deposit.

Mess & Dining Rules

  1. 8 Only food will be served in the mess. No resident will be allowed to carry food to the rooms.
  2. 9 No resident shall enter the kitchen or give instructions to the cook or staff. Complaints regarding food or service may be brought to the notice of the Warden / Mess Manager / Hostel Manager.
  3. 10 Mess facilities are common and compulsory. Food is not to be taken out of the dining room. Residents shall come to the dining hall for meals.

Fees & Allotment

  1. 11 Allotment of hostel seats will be for the full academic year (Aug 2026 โ€“ May 2027). In case the residents want to leave mid-year, no refund will be given; only the security deposit will be refunded.
  2. 12 Payment of hostel fees: 50% advance at time of booking; balance via post-dated cheque (PDC) in 1 installment.
  3. 19 If the academic session extends after May 2027, monthly charges as per Hostel Fee will be applicable.

Health & Visitors

  1. 13 Any case of illness shall be reported immediately to the Hostel Warden / Manager. Only First Aid is available in the hostel. All outside medical expenses will be borne by the resident.
  2. 14 Temporary accommodation for parents / visitors may be provided by prior permission subject to availability.
